CLEAR LAKE – Violet A. Taylor, 86, of 1000 First Ave. S., Clear Lake, Iowa, died Monday March 8, 1999, at North Iowa Mercy Health Center, West Campus, Mason City, Iowa.

Her body was cremated. Ward-Van Slyke Colonial Chapel, 101 N. Fourth St., Clear Lake, is in charge.

Violet was born March 19, 1912, in Wilcox, Neb., the daughter of Harvey and Anna Matilda (Andersen) Carlson. For the past 22 years, she has resided in Clear Lake with her daughter and son-in-law. She moved to Clear Lake from Omaha, Neb.

She is survived by her daughter, Bev. Motto and her husband, Frank, of Clear Lake, a grandson, Bruce Gamerl, of Clear Lake; four grandchildren, Heather Wubben, Dayle Gamerl, Dusty Gamerl and Kelly Gamerl; and six great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Henry F. Taylor in 1977; and a son, Donald, in 1976.
