PLAN RITES FOR F. THOMPSON
AGED MAN’S FUNERAL AT CHURCH THURSDAY, 2

CLEAR LAKE – Funeral services for Fred F. Thompsen, 82, who died at his home, 507 Clara street, about 5 o’clock Monday afternoon, will be held at the Zion Lutheran church at 2 o’clock Thursday. The Rev. Ruben Mostrom, pastor, will conduct the rites and burial will be in Clear Lake cemetery. Ward’s funeral home is in charge.

Mr. Thompsen, who had been in failing health 3 years and confined to his bed the past weeks, was born at Langeland, Denmark, June 25, 1866. He came to the United States as a young man and worked at Minneapolis several years before taking up farming at Titonka.

Feb. 1, 1899, he was married to Miss Gena Andersen. They moved to a farm near Ringsted and 28 years ago retired and moved to the present home where Mrs. Thompson died Feb. 17, 1935.

`Mr. Thompsen is survived by a brother, Frank Thompsen, 86, San Francisco, Cal.; a nephew, Harvey Thompsen, Burt; a niece, Mrs. Earl Girton, Dubuque, and several other relatives in Denmark.

Transcriber’s Note – Fred F. Thompson (Thompsen) was born June 25, 1866 and died June 1948.
