JOSEPH H. DANKBAR

Funeral services for Joseph H. Dankbar, 79, of 209 So. 9th Street, Clear Lake, were held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, Clear Lake. He died Sunday (March 4, 1984) at home.

The Rev. James Duster officiated and burial was in Memorial Park Cemetery, Mason City.

Mr. Dankbar was born Sept. 1, 1904 in Haverhill to Bernard and Frances (West) Dankbar. He moved with his family to the Garner area and married Isabelle Knoll. They farmed in the Garner area and later southwest of Clear Lake, before moving to Clear Lake in 1978. He was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, Clear Lake.

Survivors include his wife, Isabelle; two daughters, Mrs. Dale (Donna) Prescott, Branson, Mo., and Mrs. Ted (Ruth) Colbert, Nashville, Tenn.; two sons, James and Robert, both of Clear Lake; eight grandchildren, and two sisters, Mrs. Rose Engstler, Garner, and Mrs. Leo (Bertha) Jordan, Clear Lake.

Pallbearers were Tom Nelson, Frank Baker, George Simpkins, Gordon Myers, Richard Nickerson, and Lloyd Carmody.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, Louise, Bernard and Frank, and one sister, Mary Schneider.
