WEST DES MOINES - Gary A. Bailey, 50, of 2405 Heatherwood Drive, died Sunday (August 12, 2007) at his home.

Funeral Services will be held 1:30 P.M. Thursday (August 16, 2007) at Wesley United Methodist Church, 1405 S. Pennsylvania , Mason City with Rev. Keith L. Scott, officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Mason City.

Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 P.M. tonight (Wednesday August 15, 2007) at Hogan Bremer Moore Colonial Chapel, 126 3rd Street NE, Mason City, and one hour prior to service at the church, Thursday.

Gary A. Bailey was born November 2, 1956 at Mason City a son of Doug and Ruth (Barlow) Bailey. He attended Mason City schools and was a 1975 graduate of Mason City High School. He was united in marriage to Kim A. Greenan on April 26, 1985 at Mason City.

Gary was an Eagle Scout, a member of Troop # 12 at Wesley United Methodist Church.

He worked at Rick's Carpet, Mason City for several years, moving to Des Moines in 1993, where he worked at Louie's Floor Covering from 1993 to the present.

An avid NASCAR fan, Gary's life was centered on his family and his work, he especially enjoyed his cat "Suzi". He was a member of the Sierra Club.

Survivors include his wife, Kim Bailey, West Des Moines; a daughter, Jennifer Jerousek, West Des Moines; a son Nick Bailey, West Des Moines; his father, Doug Bailey, Mason City; two sisters, Kathy (Derwood) Foster, Waukee; Kris (Dave) Wittenberg, Rochester, MN; two brothers, Steve (Kim) Bailey, Clive, Mike Bailey, Mason City; in-laws, Dan Greenan, Mason City; Leslie (Keith) Wood, Mason City, Lori Greenan, Denver, Colo,; and many nieces and nephews.

His mother, Ruth Bailey, in-laws Vern and Joan Greenan, and sister in-law, Kathy Greenan preceded him in death.
