ARRANGEMENTS FOR RITES INCOMPLETECLEAR LAKE – Mrs. Frank S. (Wilmie G.) Long, 82, died at a local nursing home Thursday following a long period of failing health. She had suffered a severe attack Sunday from which she did not rally.
Mrs. Long was born Wilmie Grace Lillibridge, daughter of Robert L. and Rachel Tripp Lillibridge, July 7, 1870. She was married to Mr. Long April 29, 1903, by the Rev. D. G. Yonker, pastor of the Congregational Church at Rockwell.
They lived in Nebraska three years and successively at Swaledale, Mason City and Rudd before purchasing a farm six miles north of Clear Lake where they lived until 1914 when they moved to Clear Lake. Mr. Long died April 4, 1939, and is buried in Clear Lake Cemetery.
Mrs. Long was a member of the Christian Church and affiliated groups and of Jesse Home Tent, Daughters of Union Veterans.
Mrs. Long is survived by five children: Frank Irwin Long, Arlington, Wash.; Robert A. Long, Snohomish, Wash.; Mrs. Alfred Prestholt, Hanlontown, Mrs. W. W. Corwin, Albert Lea, Minn., and Mrs. Nels Lekwa, 1509 South Shore Drive; two brothers, Charles Lillibridge, West Haven, and Robert Lillibridge, Mason City; 13 grandchildren and one great granddaughter.
Besides her husband she was preceded in death by her parents and an infant brother, Ulysses Grant Lillibridge.
Funeral arrangements are incomplete pending word from the sons in Washington. The body is at Ward’s Funeral Home.
