IDA MAE HILL
Mrs. Ida Mae Hill, 64, of 1200 Tenth Ave. N. died Sunday, Nov. 29, 1992 at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital in Mason City.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. today, Wednesday, December 2, 1992, at Galilean Lutheran Church, U.S. Highway 18 West, Clear Lake, with the Rev. Lowell Hennigs officiating. Interment will be in Clear Lake Cemetery.
The family suggests memorials in her name.
She was born Feb. 10, 1928, in Swaledale, the daughter of Edward and Alice (Hoffman) Duregger. She attended rural school at Eden Township school-rural Clear Lake, and high school in Brazil, Ind.
She married Dale Hill on Feb. 8, 1960, in Las Vegas, Nev. They operated the Silver Boot Amusement Park in Clear Lake, Hill’s Custom Farming, and F&H Potato Farm in Thompson and sold Niagara Therapeutic Equipment. She also did bookkeeping for the Oluf T. Hansen Company for many years right up until the time of her death.
She loved to collect dolls and do many crafts.
She belonged to Galilean Lutheran Church, Clear Lake.
She is survived by a son, Lyle, and his wife Joyce Hill, Chino, Calif.; seven brothers, Albert Duregger, Clear lake, Frederick Duregger, New Port news, Va., Virgil Duregger, Clear Lake, Robert Duregger, Hayward, Calif., Leo Duregger, Clear Lake, Edward Duregger, Jr., Garner and Larry Borum, Orlando, Fla.; four sisters, Mrs. Gladys Henn, Clear Lake, Mrs. Mary Avery, Garner, Mrs. Helen Sorensen, Alden, and Mrs. Irene Sorenson, Caster Valley, Calif.; three grandchildren, Shane Hill, Chino, Calif., Trinity Hill, Clear Lake and Dale Hill, Chino, Calif.; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and a brother, Donald Duane Duregger.
