Miss Festl's funeral set for Friday

Requiem high Mass will be celebrated for Miss Mae N. Festle, 76, at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church. The Rev. Paul P. Maguire will be celebrant.

Burial will be in the Spring Grove Cemetery northwest of Nora Springs. Pallbearers selected are William Bergman, Keith Frantz, Duncan McCallum, Robert Evans, Mell VanHecke and Warren Clark.

Miss Festl died Wednesday in a Mason City hospital. She was born Sept. 11, 1886, at Nora Springs, daughter of Florian and Grace (Aman) Festl. She was a resident of the community 39 years and was housekeeper for her brother, Frank.

Surviving are a sister, Clara Festl, with home she made her home at 114 Pennsylvania SE, and a cousin, Mrs. Charles (Emma) Kluver, Nora Springs. She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers and a sister.

Miss Festl was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church and the Tabernacle Society of the church.

The Tabernacle Society Rosary was scheduled at 7:30 p.m. and the parish Rosary at 8 p.m. Thursday at the Patterson-James Chapel. Visitation was set until 10:30 a.m. Friday at the chapel.
