Mrs. Flansburg Rites To Be Held

Funeral services for Mrs. Genevieve Flansburg, 80, who died Monday at a local nursing home, will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Patterson funeral home with Doctor Marvin B. Kober of the First Methodist church in charge. Burial will be in Memorial Park cemetery.

Mrs. Flansburg was born in Cedar county, July 10, 1854 and had been a Mason City resident since October, 1938. She made her home with a daughter, Mrs. C. B. Christianson, 516 12th N. W. She was a member of the Methodist church at Clarence, where she had lived after her husband's retirement from the Chicago and North Western railroad, until 1938.

Suriving are Mrs. Christianson, a son, J. E. Flansburg of Glen Ellyn, Ill., and 4 grandchildren, Cpl. Gilbert Christianson, AAF James and Dorthea Flansburg, Glen Ellyn, and Mrs. F. J. Zeman, Dayton, Ohio. A sister, Jrs. Josie P. Messinger, Council Bluffs, and a brother, J. P. Ferguson, Pasadena, Cal., also survive.

Her husband, J. A. Flansburg, died in September, 1942. Her parents and 4 sisters also preceded her in death.
