FLOYD OSTRANDER

CLEAR LAKE – Funeral services for Floyd M. Ostrander, 59, who died Thursday at a Mason City hospital were held Monday at Zion Lutheran Church, Clear Lake. The Rev. Murley A. Severtson was to officiate, and burial was to be to be in Clear Lake Cemetery.

Surviving are his wife, Hazel; a daughter, Mrs. Larry (JoAnn) Lower, Rapid City, S.D.; two sons, James, Sioux Falls and Donald, Lake Mills, and his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Earl Ostrander, Buffalo Center.

Also surviving is a sister, Mrs. Wallace (Dorothy) Swanson, Buffalo Center; three brothers, Leslie and Grant, both of Buffalo Center, and Raymond, in California, and four grandchildren.

Ostrander had lived in Clear Lake five years and was one of the original house parents of Handicap Village. He had been a 4-H leader while farming near Thompson and was a member of the Farm Bureau and Zion Lutheran Church.
