MILDRED SPAULDING

CLEAR LAKE – Mrs. Warren (Mildred L.) Spaulding, 67, of 1615 W. 7th Ave. N., Clear Lake, died Wednesday (Sept. 19, 1984) at home.

Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Friday at the Christian Church, Clear Lake, with the Rev. Eldon Jandebeur officiating. Burial will be in the Clear Lake Cemetery.

Visitation will be after 3 p.m. today at Ward-Van Slyke Colonial Chapel, Clear Lake. The family requests memorials be made to the American Cancer Society.

Born March 10, 1917 in Fremont, Minn., she was the daughter of Edwin and Ida (Sisson) Peterson. She attended Fairmont and Waseca, Minn., schools and married Warren Spaulding on April 11, 1939 in Waseca, Minn. They lived in Mankato and Owatonna, Minn., and Estherville and moved to Clear Lake in 1963. She was employed at North Iowa Medical Center, Mason City, for 11 years. Mrs. Spaulding was a member of the Christian Church, Clear Lake, where she was a deaconess, Park Chapter 35 Order of the Eastern Star and Sorosis Club.

Survivors include her husband, Warren; two daughters, Judith Spaulding, Crawfordsville, Ind., and Mrs. Paul (Carol) Cargill, Oklahoma City, Okla.; two sons, Kenneth and Keith, both of Oklahoma City, Okla.; one grandson; one sister, Mrs. Lavonne Schroeder, Waseca, Minn., and two brothers, Clair Peterson, Rock Island, Ill., and Keith Peterson, Dallas, Texas.

Jane Pedelty was the organist and Marilyn Sadler the soloist for the service. Pallbearers were Robert Harrington, David Harrington, Gerald Leaman, Wally Anderson, Willis Bratsch, and Bill Bruns.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Marlin.
