Veteran Britt Doctor Buried at Mason City; Lived an Active Life

BRITT – July 20 – Funeral services for Dr. E. A. Couper, who passed away at a hospital at Mason City, Monday morning was held at the Congregational church Wednesday forenoon. The Rev. Southgate officiated.

Dr. Couper was born July 29, 1862, at Westfield, NY and came to Britt in 1895. He was 14 months on the front in France. He went over as a lieutenant and returned as a captain. He was president of many organizations and always a booster for Britt.

Burial was at the Memorial Park cemetery,
