M. CALLANAN RITES TUESDAY
NATIVE CLEAR LAKER DIES IN WISCONSIN

CLEAR LAKE – Michael F. Callanan, for 20 years a motorman on the old Clear Lake passenger interurban of the M.C. & C.L. railroad, died at his home in Plainfield, Wis., Sunday morning at the age of 77.

The body is expected in Clear Lake Monday and will be at the Ward funeral home. Funeral services will be held there Tuesday afternoon at 2:30 o’clock. Burial will be in the Clear Lake Cemetery.

Survivors include the widow, Mrs. Sula Callanan, who will attend the services; three sons, Irwin of Clear Lake; Harold and Leland of Los Angeles; two sisters, Mrs. R.E. Kreader, Cogswell, N.Dak.; Mrs. Robert Hackett, Cohassett, Minn., and Mrs. Lillian Callanan of Clear Lake, a sister-in-law.

Michael Callanan was born on Nov. 18, 1866.

Transcriber’s Note – Michael F. Callanan was born November 18, 1866, died 1942 and was buried in the Clear Lake Cemetery, Section 1 Row 3. Grave stone says he was born 1886.
