SANDRA “SANDY” ASKE

Sandra “Sandy” Aske, 47, of 212 N. 11th St., Clear Lake, died Tuesday, Aug. 8, at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital, Mason City, of natural causes.

Funeral services were 10:30 a.m. Friday, Aug. 11, at Zion Lutheran Church, 112 N. Fourth St., Clear Lake, with the Rev. Kermit Roisen officiating. Burial was in the Clear Lake Cemetery.

The family requests memorials be given to the Sandra Aske Memorial Fund. Ward-Van Slyke Colonial Chapel was in charge of services.

She was born Aug. 13, 1941, in Mason City, a daughter of Art and Alma (Walters) Bonker. She graduated from the Manly High School in 1959.

She married Duane Aske Dec. 27, 1958, in Manly. They lived in Alaska for two years before moving to Clear Lake. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Clear Lake, and Christian Women’s Organization, Clear Lake.

Survivors include her husband, Duane, Clear Lake; one daughter, Mrs. Kendall (Deborah) Kruger, Clear Lake; two sisters, Mrs. Betty Jean Beck, Bloomington, Minn., and Mrs. Mary Ann Bodermann, Grimes; and one brother, Lawrence Bonker, Northwood.

She was preceded in Death by her parents, infant son and one brother.

Pallbearers were Duane Toppin, Bradley Beck, Wayne Broers, David Broers, Michael Wedeking, and Max Bodermann. Mary Jane Reynolds, organist, accompanied Larry and Nancy Yeoman.
