LAKE RESIDENT DIES SUDDENLY
FUNERAL PLANNED FOR MRS. R. CASPERSEN

CLEAR LAKE – Funeral services for Mrs. Richard Caspersen, 67, 409 N. 4th street, who died at a Mason City hospital, early Tuesday morning following a brief illness, will be held at the Zion Lutheran church at 2:30 o’clock Friday morning.

The Rev. Ruben Mostrom, pastor, will conduct the rites and burial will be in Clear Lake Cemetery. The body will lie in state at Ward’s funeral home from Wednesday till Friday morning when it will be taken to the residence.

Mrs. Caspersen was born Teresa Frederica Petersen April 20, 1878, at Nykobing, Falscer, Denmark, and came ti America June 17, 1904. She was married to Mr. Caspersen Oct. 29, 1904, at Miller and they lived on a farm near Garner and one year at Beltramme, Minn., before coming to Clear Lake in 1933. They lived on a farm near Clear Lake until 1944 when they moved to the present home.

Mrs. Caspersen was confirmed in the Lutheran church as a young girl and was a member of the Zion Lutheran church and Dorcas circle of the aid. She was a member of Tina Rebekah lodge, having been a member 26 years, and, of the Danish club.

Besides her husband she is survived by a son, Chris Caspersen, a daughter, Mrs. Arnold Rasmussen, and 2 granddaughters, Karen Caspersen and Evelyn Rasmussen, all of Clear Lake; a brother, Rasmus Petersen, and an adopted sister, Mrs. Astrid Hansen, in Denmark; and a cousin, Mrs. Dagmar Boesen, Detroit, Mich. Her parents and a sister died in Denmark many years ago.
