Death Notice - Neal D. McEachran

McEACHRAN, Neal D., 80, died at his home in Portland township about midnight Tuesday, following an illness of about two months. Funeral services will be held at the Patterson funeral home at 2 o'clock Friday afternoon. Burial will be at Elmwood cemetery. The Patterson funeral home in charge.

Funeral Rites to Be Friday Afternoon
Burial at Elmwood

Neal D. McEachran, 80, died at his home in Portland township about midnight Tuesday, following an illness of about two months. He had been confined to his bed the past two weeks.

Mr. McEachran was born Sept. 21, 1850, at Argyle, Ill. He came to Mason City when 22 years of age and engaged in the contracting and building business until 1908 when he moved to Portland township, where he had since resided.

Surviving Mr. McEachran are his wife, Mary, a son, Glen, at home, and a grandson, Ralph, and granddaughter, Norma Jean, two brothers, Dan and Hugh McEachran, and two sisters, Mrs. Mary Reid and Mrs. Janet Smith, all of Rockford, Ill., also survive.

Mr. McEachran was a member of the Portland Community church.

Funeral services will be held at the Patterson funeral home at 2 o'clock Friday afternoon. Burial will be at Elmwood cemetery.
