July 11, 1927 ~ December 07, 1941Funeral Rites Tuesday for Cleone E. Floy
Funeral Services for Cleone Floy, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Floy, were held at the English Lutheran church Tuesday afternoon with the Rev. F. J. Landdeck, of Rockwell, in charge. The church was filled to overflowing with relatives and friends of the departed, and a loud speaker was placed in the church basement, which was also filled, and many were unable to gain entrance into the church.
Cleone Elizabeth Floy was born at Thornton on July 11, 1927. In early infancy she became a child of God through baptism on August 6, 1927, and on July 7th of this year publicly confessed her faith as she was confirmed in the Lutheran Faith.
Cleone had completed her education through the eighth grade and this year had begun her high school training, in spite of the illness which handicapped her. Yet, this year was not to be completed.
On Sunday evening, while attending the Luther League meeting at which the heavenly goal of the christian was discussed, she was suddenly called by her Lord, and peacefully her soul went forth to rest in His keeping.
Remaining to mourn the sudden departure of this loved one are a devoted mother and father; two sisters, Irene and Ruth Ann; four brothers, Merlin, Vernon, Dale and Lee; and a host of other relatives and friends. One brother, Raymond, had already preceded his sister in death.
Out of Christian love, our deepest sympathy is extended to this bereaved family. May our departed loved one rest in peace, and the Eternal Light shine upon her.
Card of Thanks
We wish to express our sincere thanks to everyone for their kindness, expressions of sympathy and floral offerings in our recent bereavement.
Mr. and Mrs. Carl Floy and Family.
