ZELLA EHLERS

Mrs. Zella Sarah Ehlers, 90, of 201 S. Fourth St. died Monday, Nov. 18, 1991, at Oakwood Care Center in Clear Lake.

The body was cremated. Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 22, at Ward-Van Slyke Colonial Chapel, 101 N. Fourth, Clear Lake. The Rev. Charles Williams will officiate, with inurnment of the ashes in the Clear Lake Cemetery. The family will be at the funeral home to receive friends one hour prior to the service. The family suggests that memorials be given to the Zella Sarah Ehlers Memorial Fund.

She was born March 19, 1901, at Britt, the daughter of George and Cora A. (Barlow) Raw. She graduated from Clear Lake High School and Iowa State Teachers College in Cedar Falls. She taught school in Iowa and Wyoming.

She married Norman L. Ehlers in 1929. They lived in the Chicago area until retirement. They moved to Buffalo, Wyo., in 1967. She returned to Clear Lake in 1976.

She belonged to the First Congregational Church in Clear Lake.

Survivors include her brother, Keith Raw, and a nephew, Michael Raw, both of Clear Lake.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband in 1968; and two brothers, Ray and Jack Raw.
