EIDE DIES OF HEART ATTACK
FUNERAL SATURDAY AT CLEAR LAKE CHURCH

CLEAR LAKE – Funeral services for Eli R. Eide, 73, who died at the home of his sister, Mrs. P.J. Pederson, East Main Street, Wednesday afternoon of a heart attack, will be held at the Bethleham Lutheran Church at 2 o’clock Saturday afternoon. The Rev. J.O. Blaness, South Haven, Minn., pastor, will conduct the rites and burial will be in Clear Lake Cemetery. Ward’s Funeral Home is in charge.

Mr. Eide, who had made his home with his sister 2 ½ years, had been in failing health for some time but was up town only last Friday.

Mr. Eide was born at Story City, Hamilton County, Dec. 21, 1871, and grew to manhood in that community. He was married as a young man to Miss Bertha Sovde and to them were born 4 children, Jeffrey Eide, Glencoe, Minn.; Harry Eide, Mound, Minn., Guy Eide, Detroit, Mich., and mrs. John Matthews, Gilbert.

He engaged in the restaurant business a number of years and had a potato warehouse at Willmar, Minn., until his health failed. He was a member of the Lutheran church.

Transcriber’s Note – Eli R. Eide was born December 21, 1871, died July 1945 and was buried in the Clear Lake Cemetery, Section E Row 7.
