FRED ROGERS DIES SUDDENLY
ARRANGEMENTS FOR RITES INCOMPLETE

CLEAR LAKE – Fred W. Rogers, 67, 207 N. 3rd St., died suddenly about 10 o’clock Saturday morning while showing a prospective tenant a cottage. Mr. Rogers had been subject to heart attacks. Funeral arrangements are incomplete. The body is at Ward’s Funeral Home.

Mr. Rogers, son of John and Ann Rogers, was born at Zearing, Oct. 29, 1885, and grew to manhood there. He came to Clear Lake in 1918 where he was married to Miss Ann Olson in July 1924. They have one son, Second Lt. Frederic W. Rogers, Forbes AFB, Topeka, Kan.

Mr. Rogers was a dealer in real estate and owner of several cottages and apartment houses in Clear Lake. For several seasons he was in charge of a string of cottages near Tourist Park.

He was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church and of the Clear Lake Chamber of Commerce.

Mr. Rogers was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Mrs. Sam Jones, Mason City. He is survived by his wife and son.

NOTE – Fred W. Rogers was born October 29, 1885, died May 1953 and was buried in the Clear Lake Cemetery Section B Row 9.
