FRED OELBERG DIES SUDDENLY
ARRANGEMENTS FOR RITES INCOMPLETE

CLEAR LAKE – Fred Oelberg, 68, died at his home in Bayside Park Wednesday morning following a brief illness. He was born in Russia in 1886, and came to America when a young man with his parents, Joseph and Sophia Oelberg.

During World War I, the parents and a daughter , Millicent, returned to Europe and were never heard from thereafter. A brother died as a small lad in Europe. Mr. oelberg was confirmed in the Lutheran faith when a child.

Mr. Oelberg was marred to Rose Horst. She also came from Russia but they did not meet until they were in America.

Besides his wife, Mr. Oelberg is survived by three daughters, Mmes. Fred Rose, James Trevitt and Robert Huffman, Oakwood Park, and three sons, Carl, at Bayside Park; Fred, Des Moines, and Chris, Mason City. A twin brother of Chris died in infancy.

NOTE – Fred Oelberg was born 1886, died May 1954 and was buried in the Clear Lake Cemetery Section D Row 1.
