Dent Services to be on Saturday Morning

Louis W. Dent, 62, farmer, residing west of Mason City, died at an Iowa City hospital Wednesday [August 24, 1949], following a lingering illness. He was a lifetime resident on the farm where he was born, Sept. 10, 1886.

Surviving are his wife, Marie Dent, and 2 brothers, Sidney A. Dent, Mason City, and J. Grant Dent, St. Paul, Minn. He was a member of the Methodist church, the American Legion, and was a World War I veteran [214th Enger. 14th Div., Iowa].

Funeral services will be held at the Major Memorial chapel at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, with the Rev. George A. Sheils, associate pastor of the First methodist church, officiating. Internment will be at Elmwood cemetery. The Major funeral home in charge.
