ALMA J. LUNN

CLEAR LAKE – Mrs. Alma J. Lunn, 84, formerly of 6 N. 9th St., Clear Lake, died Monday (May 10, 1982) at a Forest City nursing home.

Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Zion Lutheran Church, Clear Lake, with the Rev. Mark Jolivette officiating. Burial will be in the Clear Lake Cemetery. Visitation will begin at noon today at Ward-Van Slyke Colonial Chapel, Clear Lake. The family will be at the funeral home from 7-9 tonight.

Mrs. Lunn was born in 1898 in Cherokee County, the daughter of Tom and Anna Osnes. She grew up on a farm north of Ventura and attended country schools. In 1923 she married George C. Lunn in Clear Lake. The couple lived on a farm north of Ventura until 1930 and then moved to a farm north of Clear Lake. In 1950 they moved to Clear Lake.

Mrs. Lunn was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Zion Lutheran Church Women, Young of Hearts Circle, Thimble Bee Club, Grandmother’s Club, Clear Lake American Legion Auxiliary, Daughters of the American Revolution, and Clear Lake Senior Citizens. She was an honorary member of the Rachel Circle.

Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Wilfer (Lois) Anderson, Forest City; one son, George J. Lunn, Clear Lake; seven grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, four step-grandchildren and eight great step-grandchildren.

NOTE -- Alma J. Lunn was born February 19, 1898, died May 10, 1982 and was buried in the Clear Lake Cemetery Section D Row 2.
