February 09, 1915 ~ January 03, 2005FORT WAYNE, Ind. — Frances K. (Kellum) Hanna, 89, died Monday (Jan. 3, 2005) at Canterbury Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Fort Wayne, Ind., after a long battle with illness.
Private services were held on Jan. 9, 2005, in Fort Wayne after which "Fran" was laid to rest in Greenlawn Memorial Park following her wishes.
Fran had relocated to Fort Wayne several years earlier and married Mr. Lloyd Hanna, of Fort Wayne, Ind.
Fran was born on Feb. 9, 1915, in Minneapolis, Minn., to Mr. and Mrs. C. K. Kinney. She graduated from Mason City High School in 1933.
She attended California School of Design and Interior Decorating in Pasadena, Calif., and married Alfred H. Kellum on Oct. 23, 1937.
In 1945, the couple opened the well-known Kellum Interiors in Mason City, Iowa. They owned and operated this successful business for many decades in Mason City.
Fran was a member of First United Methodist Church.
Fran was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Alfred H. Kellum; a nephew, Jon Micheal Bocock; and niece, Francine Pringle Wolcott.
Fran will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
