DONALD L. JACKSON SR.

MESA, Ariz. - Donald L. Jackson Sr., 86, formerly of Clear Lake, died on Thursday (Dec. 19, 2002) in Mesa, Ariz.

Funeral services will be held in Mesa with inurnment in Britt, Iowa, at a later date.

Don was born in Thompson, Iowa, on Feb. 12, 1916. He lived in Forest City, Iowa, with his family until moving to Clear Lake, where he lived for 40 years while working at Nichols Body Shop. At the time of his death, he resided in Mesa.

He is survived by six of his children, Karen Axman and her husband, Marvin, of Pomeroy, Iowa; Don Jackson Jr. and his wife, Diane, of Mesa, Ariz.; Sandy Hejlik of Clear Lake; Cheryl Lekwa and her husband, Monte, of Spencer, Iowa; Kris Jackson, of Garner, and David Jackson, of Clear Lake; 16 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Don was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Helen Hauge Jackson; one son, John; one daughter, Lynn Barbara, and one grandson, Bob Axman.
