ELMER WINTER DIES AT HOME
ARRANGEMENTS FOR RITES INCOMPLETECLEAR LAKE – Elmer Winter, 67, died at his home, 310 N. 12th St., about 10:30 Sunday evening following a long illness.
Mr. Winter was born Sept. 12, 1886, at Nealesville, Wis., son of David and Mary Clark Winter. As a young lad he moved with the family to Lincoln Township where he attended school, grew to manhood and participated in civic and school activities of the community.
He was married Nov. 16, 1927, at Mason City to Miss Elsie Richards. They lived on a farm until about eight years ago when they moved to the present home. Mr. Winter was a member of Odd Fellows Lodge 187 and of Modern Woodmen of America Camp 320.
Besides his wife, he is survived by an uncle, John Winter, Keenen, Wis., and a number of nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Howard J. Winter, with whom he was associated in farming; a sister, Miss Lillie Winter, who died June 13, 1946, and three other sisters, Mmes. Martha Schreckingost, Della Trainer, and Edna DeBour.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Wilcox Funeral Home.
NOTE – Elmer Winter was born September 12, 1886, died November 29, 1953 and was buried in the Clear Lake Cemetery Section A Row 11.
