MRS. HUMPHREY DIES AT LAKE

CLEAR LAKE – Mrs. C.N. Humphrey, 78, 1101 1st Ave. S., died early Friday at a Mason City hospital. She had been hospitalized for the past two weeks following a fall at the Lake Nursing Home in which she suffered a fractured hip. Her health had been failing for the past year.

Funeral services will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. at the Wilcox Funeral Home with the Rev. George Strum and the Rev. I.A. Lavik, pastors of Zion Lutheran Church, officiating. Burial will be in Clear Lake Cemetery.

Mr. and Mrs. Humphrey farmed south of Clear Lake for many years and moved to town about 20 years ago. Mr. Humphrey preceded her in death 17 years ago.

Surviving her are four daughters, Mrs. Dison Tice, Omaha; Mrs. Leighton Zobel, Riceville; Mrs. Howard Shaner, Mason City and Mrs. Albert Juhl, Clear Lake; three sons, Lloyd, Clear Lake; Floyd, Osage and Lynn, Floodwood, Minn., one brother, Frank Bamlet, Stewartville; a sister, Mrs. Henry Buttjer, Dumont; and a number of grandchildren.

NOTE – Effie R. Humphrey was born August 13, 1877, died 1955 and was buried in Clear Lake Cemetery Section E Row 8.
