MISS BERTHA HARPER DIES AT WHAT CHEER; BURIAL AT CLEAR LAKE

CLEAR LAKE – Miss Bertha Harper died at What Cheer Thursday morning according to a message sent to Herbert Copley Thursday. Miss Harper, who was a former resident of Clear Lake and Grant Township, was employed by the Mason City and Clear Lake railway about 20 years ago and lived on South Fourth Street. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Harper, both of whom preceded her in death and are buried in Clear Lake Cemetery. The body of Miss Harper will be brought to Clear Lake Sunday about noon for burial. For several Miss Harper had lived at What Cheer.

NOTE – Bertha Mae Harper was born August 26, 1874, died October 27, 1937 and was buried in the Clear Lake Cemetery Section 1 Row 6.
