S. SORENSEN DIES SUDDENLY

CLEAR LAKE –Sam Sorensen, 76, died suddenly at his home, 15 ½ S. 4th St., Tuesday night.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Wilcox Funeral Home. The Rev. I.A. Lavik, assistant pastor of the Zion Lutheran Church will officiate. Burial will be in the Clear Lake Cemetery.

Surviving him are his wife, Elizabeth; three sons, Dale, Belmond; Edward, Chicago, and Arthur, Sioux City; one daughter, Mrs. Eugene (Dagmar) Jass, Belmond; one brother, James Sorensen, Clear Lake, and nine grandchildren.

Sam Sorensen was born May 28, 1881, in Denmark, the son of Hans and Christina Sorensen. He came to the States in 1903 and was married Nov. 3, 1907, to Elizabeth Jaspersen at Winlock, Wash.

Mr. and Mrs. Sorensen celebrated their golden wedding anniversary last fall.
