Obituary - Douglas E. Loers
October 23, 1948 ~ December 21, 2000

CLEAR LAKE - Douglas E. Loers, 52, of 1606 N. Eighth Place in Clear Lake, died Thursday (Dec. 21, 2000) at the Muse Norris Hospice Inpatient Unit in Mason City.

There will be no services at this time. Major Erickson Funeral Home, 111 N. Pennsylvania Ave. in Mason City is in charge of arrangements.

The family requests memorials be sent to Hospice of North Iowa in his memory.

Douglas A. Loers was born Oct. 23, 1948 in Mason City, the son of Lloyd and Patricia A. (Tott) Loers. He graduated from Mason City High School in 1967 and received a degree in Accounting from Hamilton's Business College and a B.A. from Buena Vista University.

Doug was united in marriage with Wuaneta Wilson on Aug. 25, 1981 in Las Vegas, Nev. He worked as a Safety Director for Morgan Drive Away and previously as an independent owner/operator truck driver.

Doug was a very loving husband, son and brother who enjoyed fishing, gardening and most of all traveling.

He will be missed by family and friends and they include, his wife, Wuaneta Loers, of Clear Lake; daughter, Janell Reuscher and her husband, Steve, of Clear Lake; granddaughter, Jordan Reuscher; parents, Lloyd and Patricia Loers, of Clear Lake; brother, Stephen Loers and his wife, Penny, of Clear Lake; sister, Ann Speigel and her husband, Richard, of Yakima, Wash.; five nieces and nephews.
