BURY LILLIE WINTER IN LAKE CEMETERY

CLEAR LAKE – Funeral services for Miss Lillie Winter, 64, who died at her home, 316 Clara Street, Thursday morning, were held at the Methodist Church Saturday afternoon. Ward’s Funeral Home was in charge and burial was in Clear Lake Cemetery.

The Rev. Warner M. Hubbard, pastor, who conducted the service, read several passages of Scripture and gave a talk in which he stressed the fatherhood and goodness of God.

Miss Winter was born in Clark County, Wis., May 18, 1892, and came to Iowa as a child, living in Lincoln Township until last fall. She taught school in Franklin and Cerro Gordo counties several years.

Mrs. L.E. Jacobson, accompanied at the organ by Mrs. Harry Mason, sang “Holy Spirit, Faithful Guide” and “Abide With Me.” Mmes. C.M. Pederson, E.P. Jeska and George Law arranged the flowers. Pallbearers were Merle Davis, George Law, Milton Phillips, Frank Marlowe, Jay Richardson and H.G. Bruchner.

About 40 person, nieces, nephews and other relatives and their families, were present from out-of-town.

NOTE – Lillie M. Winter was born May 18, 1892, died June 13, 1946 and was buried in the Clear Lake Cemetery Section A Row 11.
