HELEN E. SORENSEN

Helen E. Sorensen, 64, of 510 N. 3rd St., Clear Lake, died Monday (July 8, 1985) at her home.

Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Thursday at Zion Lutheran Church, Clear Lake. The Rev. Keith Tomlinson officiated and burial was in Clear Lake Cemetery.

Mrs. Sorensen was born Jan. 12, 1921 in Humboldt, the daughter of John H. and Emma (Bruhn) Wrisberg. She attended school at Humboldt and moved to Clear Lake with her parents. In 1938, she graduated from Clear Lake High School and worked at the Pullman Co. in Chicago, Ill.

On Sept 7, 1947 she married Verner Sorensen at Zion Lutheran Church in Clear Lake. She enjoyed square dancing and was a former member of Balance and Swing Square dancing group and the River City Square Dancers.

She was a member of Danish Brotherhood and Sisterhood, the American Diabetes Association of North Iowa, Zion Lutheran Church, the VFW Auxiliary and Rebekah Lodge.

She is survived by her husband, Verner, Clear Lake, and one brother, Robert Wrisberg, Davenport.

Pallbearers were Lawrence Halsne, Harry Eliasen, Harold Olinger, Lawrence Fredriksen, Jim Merwin, and Gary Davison. Louise Folkmann was organist and Steve Sorensen soloist.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Jack Wrisberg.

NOTE - Helen E. Sorensen was born January 12, 1921, died July 8, 1985 and was buried in the Clear Lake Cemetery Section A row 12.
