Obituary - Evelyn Florence (Barnett) Harman
May 25, 1909 ~ September 19, 1999

DES MOINES - Evelyn Florence (Barnett) Harman, 90, of 600 E. Fifth St., formerly of Mason City, died Sunday (Sept. 19, 1999) at Heather Manor in Des Moines.

Memorial services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at Heather Manor, Des Moines, with Dr. Kenneth H. Ahntholz officiating. Burial will be at 3:30 p.m. Thursday at the Oakwood Cemetery, in Plymouth, with the Rev. Debra Stowers officiating.

Hamilton's Funeral Home, 605 Lyon St., Des Moines, is in charge of arrangements.

Memorials may be given to the Heather Manor Friendship Fund.

Evelyn Florence Barnett Harman was born May 25, 1909, in Cumberland, daughter of Reu Lee and Florence Evelyn (Cady) Barnett.

She had lived in Des Moines since 1980. She had spent most of her life in Mason City. She was a school teacher, then gave private organ and piano instructions. She was a member of the Central Presbyterian Church. She belonged to the PEO Chapter KT in Des Moines.

Evelyn is survived by one sister, Doris Moore, of Newton; and two nieces.
