SCHMOLL DIES AT MASON CITY
FUNERAL PLANS ARE NOT YET COMPLETED

CLEAR LAKE – William Schmoll, 67, died at a Mason City hospital Sunday evening following a major operation performed Saturday. Funeral arrangements are incomplete. The body is at Williams Funeral Home.

Mr. Schmoll was born at Muscatine Sept. 18, 1877, and at the age of 11 years moved with the family to Jackson County, Minn., where he resided until coming to Clear Lake in 1901. Feb. 26, 1907, he was married to Miss Flora Knaak and they moved to the farm 3 miles northeast of Clear Lake where he resided until his death.

Three sons were born to them, Lloyd William, died Feb. 20, 1924; Howard John, A.M.M. 2/c, is at the naval air station, San Diego, Cal., and Lawrence Arthur is at home.

Besides his wife and sons he is also is survived by three brothers, John Schmoll, Chelsea, Okla.; Frank Schmoll, San Bernardino, Cal., and Charley Schmoll, Clear Lake, and 2 sisters, Mrs. R. A. Becker, Okabena, Minn., and Mrs. George Eveland, South Dakota.

Mr. Schmoll was member of Modern Woodman of America camp No. 320, Clear Lake.

Note – William Schmoll was born September 18, 1877, died April 15, 1945 and was buried in the Clear Lake Cemetery Section E row 6.
