JANICE VAN HORN

VENTURA - Funeral services for longtime restaurant cook Janice E. Van Horn, 52, of rural Ventura, will be at 11 this morning at Ward-Van Slyke Colonial Chapel, 101 N. 4th St., Clear Lake. She died Wednesday (March 26, 1986) at her home.

Terry Tobey will officiate. Burial will be in Clear Lake Cemetery. Visitation is at the funeral home until services.

Mrs. Van Horn was born May 11, 1933, in Hopkins, Minn., to Lynn and Jean (Bosch) Tobey. She attended school in LuVerne. She lived in Mason City, Clear Lake and Ventura. She cooked at the Maid-Rite and the Coffee Shop in Clear Lake, and had worked at the Cow Palace in Forest City before that.

Mrs. Van Horn is survived by her husband , Dean, Ventura; her mother, Jean Tobey, Clear Lake; a daughter, Patty Johnson, Swisher; six sons, Charles Johnson, Cedar Rapids; Greg Van Horn, Kansas City, Mo.; David and Bob Van Horn, both of Clear Lake, and Gene and Bill Van Horn, both of Ventura; four sisters, Mrs. Connie Funk and Mrs. Ada Hill, both of Clear Lake; Mrs. Bonnie Scheibel, Forest City, and Mrs. Debbie Rosendahl, Mason City; three brothers, Dwayne Tobey, Readlyn; Terry Tobey, Minneapolis, and Richard Tobey, Forest City, and 10 grandchildren.

The Family suggests memorials be given to the Janice E. Van Horn Memorial Fund.
