HOLD FUNERAL FOR F. KIMBALL, 78, PIONEER RESIDENT LEAVES MANY RELATIVES AT CLEAR LAKE.

CLEAR LAKE – Funeral services for Ferdinand Kimball, 78, were held at the Williams Funeral Home on East Main Street, at 2 p.m. Friday with the Rev. B. A. Davis, Methodist Camp, conducting the rites. Burial was in Clear Lake cemetery. Mr. Kimball died Wednesday evening of a heart attack. He had been in failing health for some time.

Pallbearers were Otto Kutzner, Walter Smith, William McGowan, Charles McGowan, Fred Boyd and John Strwart. Miss Adeline Sutcliffe sang appropriate selections.

Ferdinand Kimball, son of Mr. and Mrs. Orlando Kimball, was born at Sterling, Ill., Sept. 6, 1859. When he was 14 years old the family came by covered wagon to Rockford and later to the vicinity of Clear Lake. The family owned a farm northwest of Clear Lake and Mr. Kimball continued to operate the place for some time after the death of his parents. Later he had a threshing rig which he operated every fall.

Mr. Kimball is survived by his sister, Mrs. Walter Leonard, Ventura, and two brothers, Charles Kimball, Mason City, and Fred Kimball, South Third Street. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Mr. Kimball was never married.
