MRS. GLENN A. WRIGHT - OCTOBER 28, 1911 – FEBRUARY 1978

Mrs. Glenn A. (Rosalie) Wright, 66, 1105 Second Avenue North, died Sunday evening at a Mason City care center following a four year illness.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday with Father Jerry Doherty officiating and interment in the Clear Lake Cemetery. Ward-Van Slyke Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Rosalie Virginia Phillips Wright was born Oct. 29, 1911 at Lynchburg, Va., to Ashby L. and Emma Offterdinger Phillips. She received her education in the east and was later married to Glenn A. Wright.

They moved to Clear Lake where Mr. Wright was employed with KGLO until his death in 1961. Mrs. Wright then attended Hamilton Business College in Mason City and served as a legal secretary to Thorkel E. Sondrol from 1964 to 1974.

Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Royce (Marilyn) Scales, Ames; three grandchildren; two brothers, Ashby L. Phillips Jr., Mason City; and Richard Phillips, Chattanooga, Tenn.; and a sister, Mrs. Gene (Jessie) Hall, Crane, Ind.

Mrs. Wright was an active member of St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church and formerly of the Clear Lake Women’s Club.
