MARILYN L. MCCLARY

MASON CITY - Marilyn L. McClary, 57, of 1448 N. Monroe Ave., died Wednesday (Aug. 7, 1996) at her home.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Major Erickson Funeral Home, 111 N. Pennsylvania Ave., with the Rev. John Taylor, interim pastor of First Christian Church, Mason City, officiating. Burial will be in Clear Lake Cemetery.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home, and on Monday until time of services. The family suggests memorials to the Marilyn L. McClary Memorial Fund.

Marilyn L. McClary was born Jan. 20, 1939, the daughter of Clarence and Oneita (Garlock) Finette, in Mason City. Marilyn attended Mason City schools and graduated from Mason City High School in 1957. Marilyn worked for Winnebago Industries in Forest City, the Hanford Motor Lodge, and at the switchboard at the Cerro Gordo County Courthouse. Marilyn enjoyed taking care of elderly people in recent years. She also enjoyed art, playing bingo, and her cats. She was a member of First Christian Church.

Survivors include one sister, Naomi Winterink and her husband, Robert, of Charles City; three nieces, Penny Holt of Charles City, Shelly Butner and her husband, Dave, of Orchard, and Kim Winterink of Charles City; one nephew, Troy Holt of Charles City; one grand-niece, Michaela Butner of Orchard; an aunt, Madlon Garlock of Mason City; and two cousins, Duane Garlock of Northwood, and Darrell Garlock of Durand, Mich.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
