Ruby Arlene Humburg, 84, of 206 N. Shore Dr., Clear Lake, found peace on Friday,
Jan. 21, 2011 at the Muse Norris Hospice Inpatient Unit, Mason City, Iowa.
According to her wishes, a private service was held for Ruby with burial at
Memorial Park Cemetery, Mason City, Iowa. The Rev. Will Hunsaker officiated.
Memorials for Ruby can be given to the Humane Society of North Iowa or Hospice
of North Iowa in her name.

Ruby was born Dec. 14, 1926 in Bricelyn, Minn., the daughter of Claus and Lena
(Krominga) Daniels. Ruby married Kenneth Humburg on Aug. 31, 1950, in Austin,
Minn. Upon graduation from Lakota High School she became a beautician and used
those skills working for Ruth Toppin for many years. She also worked in the
Clear Lake High School cafeteria in the early 1980’s and enjoyed babysitting for
family and friends.

Ruby cared for her family in many ways including always having a steady supply
of chocolate chip cookies. In addition to volunteering at Oakwood Care Center,
she enjoyed taking long walks, visiting friends, and nurturing all of her
plants. Ruby was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Clear Lake.

Ruby is survived by her husband, Kenneth Humburg, Clear Lake; four children,
Sally (Mark) Bell-Moehle, Clear Lake, Craig (Linda) Humburg, Clear Lake, Keith
(Dawn) Humburg, Humboldt, Iowa and Todd (Julie) Humburg, Clear Lake; eight
grandchildren, Seth (Amy) Bell, Derek (Jessica) Humburg, Luke Humburg, Dustin
Humburg, Keslie Humburg, Dylan Humburg, Chad Caldwell and Cory Caldwell; two
great grandchildren, Zoey Humburg and Lakotah Oelkers; and a brother Ron (Terri)
Daniels.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Donald Daniels and two
sisters, LaVonne Eliason and Effie Humburg.
