Ellen K. Morehouse, 41, 221 South Schmidt Avenue, Marshfield, Wis., died on
Monday, Oct. 20, 2003, at her home surrounded by her family.

Memorial services were held Friday, Oct. 24, at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church
in Marshfield with the Rev. Peter Ruggles, officiating.

Memorial services will be held in Clear Lake at 1 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 1, at
Zion Lutheran Church. Burial will be in Clear Lake Cemetery.

Rembs/Kundinger Funeral Home, Marshfield, is assisting the family with the
arrangements.

Ellen was born on March 17, 1962 to Delano and Harriet (Jones) Winter in
LeMars, Iowa.

She moved to Clear Lake when she was in the first grade. She graduated from
Clear Lake High School in 1980 where she was both a cheerleader and a member of
the marching band. She attended Wartburg College for one year and she received
her nursing degree from NIACC in 1983. She worked as a hospital nurse, a clinic
nurse, and a school nurse in Pennsylvania, Michigan, and Iowa.

Ellen married Dan Morehouse on May 30, 1983 at the Little Brown Church in
Nashua, Iowa. To this union were born three children; Sean, Megan, and Erin.

She was active in several book clubs, was on the altar care committee at her
church, and volunteered at Washington School in Marshfield.

Ellen is lovingly survived by her husband, Dan; three children, Sean of Cedar
Rapids, Iowa, Megan and Erin both at home; her parents, Del and Harriet Winters
of Clear Lake, Iowa; her grandmother, Iris Ong of Clear Lake; four sisters,
Susan (Dave) Latta, Plymouth, Minn., Karen (Craig) Shayer, Indianola, Iowa, Lisa
(Jeff) Anderson, Ames, Iowa and Lori (Kirk) Muhlenbruck, Northfield, Minn. She
is further survived by 13 nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Herman and Meta Winter, Harrod
and Helen Jones and Florence Klinge.

Memorials may be given in Ellen's name to Riverside Lutheran Bible Camp, 3001
Riverside Road, Story City, Iowa 50248
