Norman P. Larson, 84, of 1511 W. 6th Ave N., Clear Lake, died Thursday, Oct. 16,
2003 at the Oakwood Care Center, Clear Lake. A memorial service was held
Tuesday, Oct. 21, at Zion Lutheran Church, Clear Lake with the Rev. Derik Yarian
officiating. Military honors were led by the Clear Lake VFW. Inurnment was at
the Clear Lake Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Norman P. Larson Memorial
Fund.

Norman was born in rural Joice, Iowa, the son of Lauritz and Anna (Storre)
Larson. Norman graduated from Joice High School in 1936, and farmed with his
parents until serving in the Army Air Corp. during WWII. After his discharge
from the service he returned to farming. Norman married Marilyn H. Bolstad on
Oct 14, 1951 at Webster City, Iowa and they continued to farm until they moved
to Lake Mills, Iowa where he worked for Kingland Motors.

He moved to Clear Lake and worked for Winnebago Industries as coordinator of the
Employee's Suggestion Program until his retirement in the 80's.

Norman enjoyed listening to Big Band Music and dancing. He was an avid Twins
fan, as well as a fan of all sports. Norman was Toastmaster of the year in 1974
at Winnebago and a member of Shibboleth Toastmasters in Mason City. He was a
member of Zion Lutheran Church and sang in the choir. He was a gentle man and
gentleman.

Norman is survived by his wife, Marilyn H. Larson, of Clear Lake; a brother,
Wallace Larson and his wife, Beverly, of Forest City, Iowa; a sister, Maynis
Aamodt and her husband, Carroll, of Northwood, Iowa; sisters-in-law, Dorothy
Larson, of Mason City, Iowa, Ruth Flugum, Forest City, Iowa, Alvira Thompson,
Mondovi, Wis. and Esther Bolstad, Lake Mills, Iowa; brother-in-law, Carroll
Bolstad, Newhall, Calif. and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, LeRoy Larson and Royden
Larson; one sister, Ivanell McKissik and a brother-in-law, Russell Bolstad.
