Mary Rose Maxson, 61, of Clear Lake, died Friday, Oct. 9, 1998 at the
Muse-Norris Hospice Inpatient Unit, Mason City, Iowa.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, Oct. 13, at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church,
Clear Lake, with the Msgr. Joseph J. Slepicka officiating. Interment was in
the Clear Lake Cemetery, Clear Lake.

Mary was born March 28, 1937 in Mankato, Minn., the daughter of Roland and
Ursala (Wagner) Siebenbrunner. She graduated from Garner-Hayfield High School,
Garner, Iowa in 1955. She later attended North Iowa Area Community College,
Mason City.

Mary enjoyed her grandchildren, reading, raising flowers, practical jokes and
collecting knick knacks. She was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church,
Clear Lake.

She is survived by six children, Daniel P. Johnson and his wife, Judy, Council
Bluffs, Iowa, R. Lee Johnson and his wife, Cinda, Broomfield, Colo.; Susan
Kennedy and her husband, Charles, Fertile, Iowa, Russell D. Johnson and his
wife, Lora, Milo, Iowa, David Walter Maxson and his wife, Angeleeta, Des
Moines, Iowa, and William J. Maxson, Iowa City, Iowa; 14 grandchildren,
Kristin Johnson, Summer Johnson, Heather Johnson, Tyler Johnson, Erik Johnson,
Nicholas Johnson, Baree Weber, Eric Weber, Troy Johnson, Brandon Johnson,
Shane Maxson, Stuart Maxson, Chelsea Maxson and Eric Maxson; two sisters, Jean
Haight and her husband, Robert, Mason City, and Anita Friest and her husband,
Ken, Clear Lake.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Richard Johnson in 1988.
