Church, Clear Lake, with the Rev. Jeff Ungs of Galilean Lutheran Church

and Lymphoma Society.

Paul was born May 20, 1932 in Osakis, Minn. the son of Henry and Mabel
(Erickson) Fynskov. He grew up on the family farm, graduated from Osakis High
School in 1949 and the University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine
in 1961.

Paul married Janice Reynolds on Dec. 26, 1954 in Alexandria, Minn. He
pursued his profession in several communities in Minnesota and then moved to
Clear Lake in 1965, where he opened the Clear Lake Veterinary Hospital and in
1972 built the present building where he practiced until his retirement in
1997.

Paul and Janice were members of Zion Lutheran Church for 14 years. When the
Lutheran Church decided to start a mission congregation, Paul and Janice were on
the steering committee and became charter members of Galilean Lutheran Church.

He was also a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association,

served on the Land Use Task Force of the Iowa District of the E.L.C.A. In
keeping with his spirit of benevolence and education, it was Paul’s wish that
his body be donated to Mayo Clinic in support of scientific research and his
eyes to Iowa Lions Eye Bank.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Janice, Clear Lake; two
sons, Tim (Lonnie) Fynskov, Rochester, and Todd Fynskov, Rochester; three
