Mary Elizabeth Carris Price, 87, died Monday, Sept. 26, 1994, at the Pleasant
Care Living Center, Pleasantville, Iowa.

Funeral services were held Thursday, Sept. 29, at the Ward-Van Slyke Colonial
Chapel, Clear Lake, with the Pastor Marge Bradshaw of St. Pauls United
Methodist Church, Pleasantville, officiating. Interment was in the Clear Lake
Cemetery, Clear Lake.

The family suggests memorials be given in her memory to St. Pauls United
Methodist of Pleasantville, or the American Lung Association.

Mary was born on a farm eight miles south of Ogden on July 2, 1907. She grew
up in the Bouton area and graduated from Perry High School.

She taught school in Boone County, and later moved to Chicago where she lived
with two of her three sisters and worked as a bookkeeper at Walgreens.

She married her first husband there, and he died shortly after their daughter
was born. She then moved back to Des Moines where she met James E. Price. In
1946 they moved to Clear Lake, where they raised their three children.

Mary enjoyed gardening, canning, fishing, camping and traveling. James passed
away in 1982. She moved to Pleasant Care Living Center in January of 1994.

She is survived by her children, Sharon Price Croxton and her husband, Thomas
E., of Columbus, Ohio, William L. Price and his wife, Rebecca J. of
Pleasantville, Herbert L. Price, Clear Lake; her grandchildren, Dianna Croxton
Garvey and her husband, James, Columbus, Ohio, Elizabeth Croxton Glenn and her
husband, Rick, Ostrander, Ohio, Aaron L. Price and Andrew F. Price of
Pleasantville; great-grandchildren, Seamus Garvey, Mary Katherine Garvey,
Benjamin Glenn and Mary Elizabeth Glenn; a sister, Pauline Wright,
Bloomington, Ind.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James E. Price.

Pallbearers were Rick Glenn, Larry Iddings, Elizabeth Glenn, Aaron Price,
Steven Lamb, Andrew Price, Dianna Garvey.
