Mrs. Helen O. Smith, 72, of Clear Lake, died Thursday, Aug. 31, 1995, at
the Oakwood Care Center, Clear Lake. Funeral services were held Tuesday, Sept.
5, at Open Bible Church, Clear Lake, with Pastor Will Hunsacker officiating.
Interment was in the Clear Lake Cemetery. The family suggests memorials to the
Helen O. Smith memorial fund.

Helen was born June 1, 1923 in Clinton, Minn., the daughter of Howard
Goldsmith and Christine Goldsmith (nee) Berg. She attended school in Clinton,
Minn. Helen and her family moved to Clear Lake in 1955. She married Ronald B.
Smith on April 22, 1961 in Clear Lake. She attended the Open Bible Church,
Clear Lake.

She is survived by three children, Judith Waters, West Des Moines, Iowa,
Jacquline Dybdahl and her husband, Gary, Clinton, Minn., and Larry Otten and
his wife, Grace, Cresco, Iowa; 12 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two
brothers, Harold Goldsmith, Ortonville,

Minn., and Vernon Goldsmith and his wife Gertie, Big Stone City, South
Dakota; two sisters, Erma Alberts, Clinton, Minn., and Alice Goldsmith,
Ortonville, Minn.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ronald Smith in 1994;
and two brothers.
