McKean Services Are Held at Ward’s – Clear Lake – Funeral services for Bruce McKean, 58, (Feb. 21, 1946) who was Accidently killed near his home south of Clear Lake Thursday, were held at Ward’s funeral home Saturday afternoon. The Rev. Warner M. Hubbard, pastor of the First Methodist church, conducted the rites. The body was shipped to Hamburg, Iowa, for burial in the family lot. Mrs. C.A. Pease, with Mrs. W.W. Choate accompanying, sang “Beautiful Isle” and “Does Jesus Care?”

Mr. McKean was born in Hamburg April 10, 1888. He was married to Miss Mona McLaughlin April 13, 1913. To this union were born 4 children; Mrs. Louise McCaw lives at Oakland, Cal.; Mrs. Betty Swedlund at Whitten, S. Dak.; Mrs. Helen Regal at Peoria, Ill., and Jack McKean at Clear Lake. Also surviving are 5 grandchildren, 6 brothers and a sister.
