Interment will be at the Clear Lake Cemetery. Memorials may be given to the

Jerry was born Aug. 25, 1955 in Mason City, the son of George and Betty
(Hoffman) Lunn. He was raised in Clear Lake. He graduated from Clear Lake High
School in 1973. Sixteen years ago Jerry was in a traumatic accident. Doctors
gave him less than one percent chance of survival. Through the power of prayer,
determination and lots of love, Jerry beat the odds. We were blessed to have
him in our lives. He was a good dad and he loved his girls.

Jena was his side kick, they learned how to walk together, work together
and play together. A special bond had been made between the two.

Jerry would best be remembered as the local salvage man. That was his
passion, cutting iron and junking cars. It was very physical work but he always
said, “If you love what you do it’s not work at all.” He loved what he did and
all the friends and contacts he’s made over the years. He had a memory of steel
and did not forget anyone. If he was physically able to help, he would. And
that kindness had been ed to him many times over from family and friends.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife, LeaAnn Lunn; daughters, Jena Lunn
and Shelby (Jim) Andersen, Mason City; new granddaughter, Madison Marie;
parents, George and Betty Lunn, Clear Lake; brothers, Tim Lunn, Mason City, and
Rick Lunn, Clear Lake; sister, Kathleen (Dan) Anderson, Swaledale, Iowa; nieces,
Morgan, Krista, and Andrea; nephews, Travis Anderson and Travis Hesley;
mother-in-law, Dorothy Kollman; sister-in-law, Cindy Hesley; brother-in-law,
Darrel (Gloria) Hesley; aunts, uncles and his many, many friends. He loved them
all very much.

Greeting him in heaven will be his son, Cole; his grandparents; and a lot
of his lifelong friends.
