Caroline B. Thoresen, 80, formerly of Iowa City, died Monday, Dec.
28, 1998 at Manor Care Health Services in Cedar Rapids following a lengthy
illness. There will be no service.

Caroline B. Thoresen was born Aug. 21, 1918 in Clear Lake, the
daughter of Benjamin and Margaret (Nielsen) Fredricks. Caroline graduated from
Clear Lake High School in 1937. She was married to Carlyn Thoresen on Dec. 23,
1939 in Mason City. In 1968 she moved with her family to Iowa City. She lived
in Cedar Rapids the past five years.

She is survived by a son, Carlyn (Carl) Thoresen and his wife, Jane,
of Cedar Rapids; and a brother, Andrew G. Fredricks and his wife, Rosalynne of
Hiawatha.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband in 1994; and a
sister, June Peterson.

George L. Gay Funeral Home and Crematorium, Iowa City, Iowa, were in
charge of arrangements.
