Anthony (T.J.) Hillburg, 19, of Thornton, Iowa, formerly of Algona, died
Sunday, Aug. 16, 1998 in an automobile accident south of Ventura.

Funeral services will be held today (Wednesday), Aug. 19, at 1 p.m. at the
Ventura High School Gym, Ventura, with the Rev. Daird Korth of Redeemer
Lutheran Church, Ventura, officiating. Interment will be in Ventura Cemetery.
The family suggests memorials to the T.J. Hillburg memorial fund to help
refurbish the Ventura track.

T.J. was born July 17l, 1979 in Mason City, Iowa, the son of Daryl Hillburg
and Trudy Duitscher-Hillburg. He attended Seton grade school, Algona Middle
School and one year at Algona High School. In 1995 he moved and lived with
grandparents south of Ventura and continued his education at Ventura High
School, graduating in 1997. He loved athletics and participated in football,
track and baseball. He enjoyed running the bases in baseball. His relay team
qualified for Drake Relays in 1997 and their 4x100 placed sixth and their
4x200 placed fourth at state.

T.J. could make friends easily, loved people and always had a smile. He
enjoyed hunting, fishing and bike riding with his father. He was an avid
Packer fan.

He is survived by his father, Daryl Hillburg, Algona; his mother, Trudy
Duitscher-Hillburg, Algona; a brother, Adam Hillburg, Algona; maternal
grandparents, Arnold and Madelyn Duitscher, Thornton; paternal grandparents,
Robert and Charlotte Hillburg; and a very special friend, Stacie Busch and her
family; four aunts, Cheryl Avery, Tucson, Ariz., Judy Linahon and her husband,
Tom, Clear Lake, Bobbi Robbins and her husband, Jim, Des Moines, and Lolly
Duitscher, St. Joseph, Mo.; one uncle, Bill Duitscher, Ventura; and several
cousins.
