Viola M. Miller, 88, of 1402 N. 24th Street, Clear Lake, Iowa, died Friday, Jan.
18, 2013 at Oakwood Care Center in Clear Lake surrounded by her loving family.

A funeral service was held Monday, Jan. 21, 2013 at the Clear Lake
United Methodist Church, Clear Lake, with the Reverend Bernie Colorado
officiating. Following the funeral service, cremation rites took place; and
inurnment will be held at Memorial Park Cemetery, Fort Dodge, Iowa, at a later
date.

Should friends desire, memorials may be left in Viola’s name to Clear
Lake Bank and Trust or Hospice of North Iowa, 232 2nd St. SE, Mason City, Iowa
50401.

Viola M. Miller, daughter of John and Grace (Jenkins) White was born
May 11, 1924 and was raised in the Webster City area. She graduated from
Webster City, Iowa in 1944. On Jan. 13, 1945 she was united in marriage to
Dwayne at the United Brethren Church in Webster City.

Viola worked several jobs before they moved to Estherville, Iowa, in
1977, where they owned and operated the KFC for many years. In 1982,
Dwayne and Viola moved to Clear Lake and operated P.M. Park for over 18
years until they retired. Dwayne and Viola moved to Apple Valley in 2004.

Viola was well known for her homemade pies and her chicken and
biscuits. She enjoyed to cook and loved spending time with her family and her
Apple Valley extended family.

She was an active member of the Clear Lake United Methodist Church,
woman’s church circle, church choir, Rebekahs, Aqua Bells, Progress Club
and her most recent pass time was crocheting.

Viola will be greatly missed by her daughters, Judee (Jim) Miller, Clear
Lake, and Rhonda Stephens, Clear Lake; daughter-in-law, Yvette Miller, Clear
Lake; grandchildren, Dawn Miller, Blake (Cathrin) Miller, Jodee Blair, J.D.
(Ann) Miller, Jarrod Benson, Alyssa Benson, Cody Stephens and Audra Miller;
step-grandchildren, Tyrone Green, Charles (Kathleen) Green, Anthony (Jessica)
Green, Justin (Sarah) Green and Tiffany (Glenn) Harrington; along with several
great-grandchildren and step great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Dwayne, and son,
Dennis, both in 2012; siblings, Dorothy Noe, Elmer White, Norwood White,
Richard White, Melvin White and four siblings in infancy.
