Luella Jenkins, 84, of Sioux City, Iowa, formerly of Clear Lake, died
Thursday, March 15, 2007 at the Holy Spirit Retirement Home, Sioux City.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, March 20, at Zion Lutheran Church, Clear
Lake with the Rev. Derik Yarian officiating. Interment was in Memorial Park
Cemetery, Mason City. Family suggests memorials to Hospice of North Iowa.

Luella was born Nov. 29, 1922 in Anita, Iowa the daughter of Curtis and Alina
(Hardersen) Moore. She graduated from Forest City High School in 1941.

Luella married Norman Jenkins on Oct. 19, 1941 in Princeton, Mo. They lived
in Fertile, Iowa. She drove school bus for Forest City Schools. In 1965 they
moved to Clear Lake. She worked at the Clear Lake High School as a secretary
for Dr. Huntington for over 18 years, retiring in 1984.

She enjoyed reading, attending Bible studies, playing games with her
grandchildren, and cross stitching. She made cross stitched pictures for each
one of her grandchildren.

Luella was a member of Zion Lutheran Church and Tina Rebekah Lodge #105,
Clear Lake.

She is survived by her son, Tim Jenkins, Sioux City; daughter-in-law, Melodi
Jenkins, Sioux City; and her three grandchildren, Greyson Anthony Jenkins,
Deming Jan Jenkins and Griffin Douglas Jenkins, all of Sioux City, Iowa.
She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Anthony Norman Jenkins on Jan.
27, 1988; her husband, Norman Jenkins on Feb. 6, 1988 and one brother, Garnet
Moore.

Ward-Van Slyke Colonial Chapel, Clear Lake, was in charge of arrangements.
